42 Daysailer

An elegant and extremely versatile cruise simply unmatched in performance,
comfort, and eaworthiness.

42 Daysailer – Eight people for the day. Two for the night. Built for both.

The 42 Daysailer was designed by Doug Zurn and built here in Mississauga. Eight people for an afternoon on the bay. Two people for the night. That’s the whole brief, and the boat delivers it.

She’s long and lean — 42 feet, 17,500 lbs, 898 square feet of sail. Low profile, big cockpit, all the control lines led aft so one person can handle her properly. The hydraulic vang and backstay live at the helm. The shoal draft keel gets her moving at speeds that would surprise you on a boat this size. Carbon fibre spars are available if you want to push it further.

Below deck, the boat doesn’t try to be a cruiser. The saloon seats eight for drinks or dinner. Forward there’s a proper berth for two. It’s not a cruiser — it’s a daysailer that happens to be comfortable when you decide to stay the night.
